Day 1: Arrival in Accra, Ghana

Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport in the afternoon, your tour guide will warmly welcome you. Subsequently, you'll be escorted to your accommodation, the Accra City Hotel or a similar establishment, where you can relax and recuperate from your journey. Day 2: Accra Sightseeing

Today, after breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you on a city tour of Accra. Begin at Independence Square, a symbol of Ghana's freedom from colonial rule. Then, explore Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, dedicated to Ghana's first president and a pivotal figure in the country's independence movement. Next, delve into the history of Old Accra town, formerly known as James Town, a vibrant neighbourhood filled with historical landmarks and cultural significance. Finally, visit the National Museum, home to a diverse collection showcasing Ghana's rich cultural heritage, from ancient artefacts to contemporary art pieces. Day 3: Scenic Volta Adventure: Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Rainforest Retreat

Today, right after breakfast, we will embark on a scenic four-hour drive to the Volta region, stopping at Shai Hills Resource Reserve. Here, we'll explore the savanna plains, rocky hills, and diverse wildlife, including baboons and antelopes. A brief hike will reveal ancient caves once inhabited by the Shai people. Continuing our journey, we'll reach the enchanting Wli Waterfalls, the highest in Ghana. The waterfall, cascading from 80 meters, creates a misty, lush landscape. We'll hike through the surrounding rainforest, enjoying verdant foliage, wooden bridges, and the sounds of exotic birds and butterflies, offering a refreshing retreat into nature. Day 4: Cultural Exploration in Vibrant Lomé

Today, we will journey to Lomé, the vibrant capital of Togo, which will take about 2 hours and 27 minutes. Our first stop will be the bustling Grand Marché, a three-story market filled with vendors selling everything from colourful textiles to fresh produce and handmade crafts. Here, we can immerse ourselves in the local culture, sampling traditional foods and observing the daily life of Lomé's residents. Next, we will visit the Togo National Museum, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the country's rich history and cultural heritage through its diverse collection of artefacts, including traditional masks, musical instruments, and historical documents. In the evening, we will relax at the luxurious Hôtel 2 Février Lomé, enjoying its comfortable amenities and stunning city views, making for a memorable end to our day.

Day 5: Benin Historical- Ouidah and the Door of No Return

Right after breakfast, we will journey to Benin and head straight to the historic town of Ouidah. Our first stop will be the Ouidah Museum of History, where we will delve into the town's rich past, particularly its role in the transatlantic slave trade. The museum houses many artefacts, including relics from the Kingdom of Dahomey.

Next, we will explore the Sacred Forest of Kpasse, a tranquil and spiritually significant site filled with ancient trees and voodoo statues. If possible, we will attend a Voodoo ceremony, witnessing the vibrant and mystical traditions central to the local culture.

In the evening, we will rest at the serene Casa del Papa hotel, preparing for the next day's adventures.

Day 6: Sacred Forest of Kpasse in Benin

Today, after breakfast, we will embark on an exciting journey to Ouidah in Benin to visit the Sacred Forest of Kpasse. This forest is a deeply spiritual place, believed to be the final resting site of King Kpasse, the first king of Ouidah. According to local legend, the king transformed into an Iroko tree within the forest, adding to its mystical significance.  As we explore the forest, we will encounter various statues and sacred sites that highlight the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the area. The lush greenery and serene atmosphere provide a tranquil setting for our visit.  In the evening, we will enjoy a relaxing meal and rest at our hotel, Casa del Papa, preparing ourselves for the adventures awaiting us tomorrow.

Day 7: Cotonou-Python Temple

After breakfast, we will embark on a journey to Ouidah to visit the renowned Python Temple. This sacred site is dedicated to Dangbé, the python deity, and is a vital place of worship for practitioners of the Vodun religion. The temple houses numerous pythons, considered sacred and symbolic of fertility and strength. We will learn about the temple's history, its rituals, and the cultural significance of the pythons to the local community. In the evening, we will dine at a local restaurant, savouring traditional Beninese cuisine. Afterwards, we will rest at our accommodation, preparing for the next day's adventures. As the sun begins its descent, we'll bid farewell to Ganvie and set our course back to Cotonou, where the vibrant energy of the city awaits.
