Booking and Payment:

  • Deposit and Final Payment: Upon submitting a deposit or full payment, you are acknowledging and accepting all specified terms and conditions. These apply to individual tours; group tours have distinct policies, detailed separately. Each payment, deposit, and cancellation fee is per individual. To confirm your reservation, adhere to the deposit and final payment requirements outlined for your tour.
  • Tour Deposit & Final Payment Policy: A deposit of $500 or 40% of the tour cost per person (whichever is greater) is required. Additional deposits may be requested for peak periods. Final payment is due 45 days prior to tour commencement.
  • Last-Minute Reservations: For reservations within 50 days of the tour start date, full payment must be made upon confirmation, along with a non-refundable rush booking fee of at least $200 per person.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees apply based on the timing of cancellation. Please review our detailed cancellation policy for specific fees.
  • Trip Cancellation Insurance: We strongly recommend obtaining trip cancellation insurance to safeguard against unexpected circumstances.

Tour Alterations and Refunds:

  • Tour Cancellations by Royalland Tours: In the event of a tour cancellation, a full refund will be issued. However, we are not responsible for any expenses incurred by travelers in preparation for a canceled trip.
  • Alternative Tour Arrangements: If a tour is terminated while travelers are in Africa, we will propose comparable alternative tour arrangements. If declined, no refunds will be issued.

Travel Insurance:

  • Highly Recommended: While not obligatory, travel insurance is highly advised and is not included in the tour price.

Currency and Price Adjustments:

  • Price Quotes: All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) and may be subject to change until a tour deposit is received.

Exclusions and Personal Expenses:

  • Not Covered: Tour prices do not include expenses such as international travel to/from Africa, passport fees, entry visa fees, excess baggage charges, airport taxes, immunization or other medical fees, unspecified meals, alcoholic or other beverages, insurance, tips for tour staff, laundry, and other personal expenses.


  • Royalland Tours: It is our responsibility to provide the services specified in each tour itinerary and to make alternative arrangements if necessary.
  • Tour Alterations: We reserve the right to amend the itinerary, alter hotels or tour components, and are not liable for delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
  • Guide’s Authority: Our guide may remove a traveler from the tour if their presence is deemed detrimental to themselves or others, or if it impacts the quality of the tour.

Traveler Responsibilities:

  • Travel Documents and Compliance: Travelers must obtain their own passport, entry visa(s), and health documents. They must also adhere to local laws and regulations and respect cultural practices throughout the tour.
  • Punctuality and Rejoining: Travelers are expected to be punctual for all tour activities and are accountable for rejoining the tour if they miss any flights or scheduled departures.
  • Special Needs: Travelers with specific needs or disabilities must notify us at the time of booking and comply with the Tour Leader/Guide’s directives for their safety and for the seamless operation of the tour.
  • Tips and Gratuities: Tips and gratuities are at the traveler’s discretion.
  • Luggage Porter Tips: These are the responsibility of the Royalland Tours’ guide.
